Description
Nestled in the Cape Winelands, the Vertex Hub is a research facility that merges cutting-edge technology with vernacular architecture. The design draws inspiration from traditional barn typologies but reinterprets them with modern materials.
The campus consists of three linked pavilions, each housing different research disciplines. Expansive glazing connects the laboratories to the surrounding vineyards, fostering a connection with nature. Sustainable features, including solar harvesting and water recycling, are integrated visibly into the design.
