Description
A dark, brooding masterpiece anchored into the ancient slopes of the Berg. The Basalt Monolith utilizes charred timber and pigmented black concrete to mimic the jagged peaks of the escarpment.
Internally, the structure unfolds as a series of interconnected cavernous spaces. Natural light is filtered through deep-set apertures, casting dramatic shadows across the raw stone surfaces, while hidden courtyards protect the inhabitants from the Berg’s volatile weather.
